March 2024 Newsletter

Welcome to our March newsletter – your go-to source for all things workplace safety, leadership insights, societal reflections, and industry innovations. We've got a lot packed into this edition, so grab a cuppa and settle in for a read that's bound to pique your interest.

Five years ago, this month the Christchurch terrorist attack took place, the worst mass shooting in New Zealand's modern history. Four years ago, NZ’s first confirmed case of COVID-19 became public. Three years ago, the Beehive Bunker was activated following a tsunami warning from an earthquake in the Kermadec Islands. Two years ago, the protest in Wellington outside Parliament was ended by police. One year ago, we were reeling from Cyclone Gabrielle’s impact on the North Island that bought extreme weather, flooding and landslides. This month we look at where we are after enormous consecutive shocks to our country, communities, and businesses.

We also have some good news we've got an exclusive offer for NZEE members you won't want to miss – a 50% discount on upcoming webinars focusing on effective management and disciplinary processes. A little way of saying thanks for being part of the community.

We've got stories to tell, insights to share, and plenty of inspiration. Here's to building a better workplace, and a better world, together.

Our newsletter aims to celebrate and support you, connecting you to global and local insights that contribute to the creation of more inclusive workplaces. Your time is precious, feedback allows us to produce content that is relevant and useful. tanya@nzee.nz
